Omental cysts are multilocular or unilocular cysts in the omentum which are lined by epithelial lining similar to that seen in cystic hygroma. They are commonly seen in young adults and complications like torsion, infection and rupture are also common in young adults.

CT scan and ultrasound shows a fluid filled complex cyst with internal septations. Differential diagnosis include mesenteric cyst, dermoids and retroperitoneal tumors

Surgical excision is the treatment of choice
